#PlantTipTuesday Roundup: September-October 2019
Every week, we feature a #PlantTipTuesday post on our Facebook page. Here are some helpful hints you may have missed this past month:
Plants Love Stability
Moving your plant friend around too much can actually be detrimental to its health. Try to avoid transporting your plant to different areas of your home, especially if it isn't showing any signs of distress, and re-pot only when necessary.
The ZZ Plant
The ZZ plant is a lovely & easy-to-care-for specimen that can thrive in many environments. These guys prefer their soil to dry out completely between waterings, since they store moisture in their shiny leaves, and can do well even in low light!
North-Facing Windows
Struggling to find a plant to put in your North-facing window? Fear not! There are many plants that prefer low light or shaded areas, like the lush Chinese Evergreen, making them perfect for North-facing windows which receive only a small amount of sunlight.
Monstera Deliciosa
If you're looking for a big plant to tie your indoor space together, check out the Monstera deliciosa! Also known as the "Swiss cheese plant" or "split leaf philodendron" (though it is not a philodendron), the Monstera is an easygoing plant that is beautiful on its own or as part of your plantourage. It can even thrive in low light; however, bright indirect light will help this showstopper grow faster and take on a more dramatic look!
